A medical emergency can happen to anyone, so information about getting help must be usable by everyone. RISA wants this website to work for people with visual, hearing, motor, speech and cognitive disabilities, older users and anyone on a small screen or a slow connection.
This commitment follows the spirit of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016, which requires information and communication technology to be accessible.
This website partially conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Partially conforms means some content does not yet fully meet the standard. The site is still being completed, and an independent accessibility audit will be carried out before launch. This page will be updated with its findings.
We check pages with automated tools and by hand. Manual checks include keyboard only use, zoom up to 200 percent, mobile screens and screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver on Apple devices and TalkBack on Android.
The RISA helpline 1800 108 1800 is open 24x7. If you are deaf or hard of hearing, or cannot speak easily, you can ask someone near you to call, or use the SOS feature in the 112 India emergency app.
